On a cold Oregon Coast November day, Ashley and Jordan had their dream Winter Wonderland Wedding. Full of intimate and well planned for moments and many happy tears, theirs was a day full of sincere love and affection…. I know, I know every photographer says stuff like that but really; getting to watch their personal heartfelt vows which they shared with one another in the privacy of the empty church moments after their First look- and right before their day just turned into a whirlwind, their words left me in tears right alongside them.
Ashley’s mom turned the beautiful United Methodist Church in Tillamook into a frosty atmosphere with many DIY touches and truly made Ashley’s vision of a winter wonderland come true. Huge kudos to her and Ashley for bringing to reality such an event.
One of the main reasons that Ashley fell in love with this church was the sanctuary and the atmosphere the stained glass windows create. When I asked her if she had a preference of where the first look take place she was smitten with the idea of being in the sanctuary. I’ve never photographed a first look in a church before but was up for a challenge!
This church exit has got to be my favorite of all time. And it makes me giddy that we were able to capture exactly what Ashley had envisioned; the look of real snow to match the theme of the day!
Going from snow to ice at the reception this was such a perfect winter affair. You could tell the guests loved it and throughly enjoyed the day simply by the fact that they stayed engaged all through the night under twinkle lights dancing the night away.
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Reyes!
