Once upon a time a ballerina met a dairy-farmer-raised boy. They fell head over ballerina slippers in love and then planned a once in a lifetime affair to celebrate their unique love story. Both ensuring that their backgrounds merged delicately to create a romantic event for their family and friends to enjoy.
Pretty doesn’t even begin to describe this gorgeous Tillamook Oregon Wedding. I find myself at a loss for words as I seek to describe the beautiful touches infused by the bride and groom. Each detail and piece hand selected. Everything from the vintage wardrobe that greeted guest at the reception filled with black and white images of their ancestors on their own wedding day, to the amazing three tier chandelier hand made by the groom and his family.
This romantic affair overflowed with personal touches, but the bride’s choice florals completed the look and feel of the day. The bride’s floral team flew in luscious peonies from across the country to match the bride’s delicate palate at her traditional catholic church wedding.
After the vows, the bride and groom gifted each of their guests jam, specially made by the bride’s mother. They also served their guests an array of cheeses- Tillamook of course, as the groom’s family has been helping make delicious Tillamook Cheese for many decades now. And of course you can’t serve cheese without sharing choice jerky. Made by the groom’s father at the family dairy farm of course!
After a delicious meal, made by the groom’s siblings, the guests were treated to a night of dancing. From swing to ballroom to modern hip hop. But the guests’ special treat came when the father of the bride swept her off her feet as he twirled her to The Temptations “My girl” only to have the groom end the night to a choreographed “You’re the one that I want” from Grease. I can only imagine how this topped the night off for this ballerina bride, whose love language is dance!!
