Wes and Sarah’s wedding at Ron’s Pond in Monmouth Oregon was simply breath taking. From the first look- where they shared their private vows underneath evergreen to the endless dance party. Their day was a perfect reflection of them. Lively, fun and oh so full of romance and class. Here’s a few of my favorite captures from their gorgeous day!!
They chose to share private vows just minutes before their first look but they also wanted to be able to hold hands as they shared from their hearts. Sarah asked if I could find a tree which they could hide behind. I found this spot in front of Ron’s Pond and it proved to be the perfect spot for this magical moment. And let’s just say some major laughs and tears were shed!
I’ve been photographing weddings 11 years now and not once have I seen what I’m about to tell you happen.
I loved Sarah’s heart behind this new idea and how special she wanted each of these women to feel.
Rather than tossing a bouquet Sarah asked her floral team to prepare a few dozen white roses. They loosely tied a bow on the arrangement and when Sarah turned her back to the girls she loosen the bow. When she released through the air each bachelorette was left with a rose and Sarah jumping up and down declared their was love for everyone.
I don’t know that this moment will ever be topped.
It just truly showcased the person Sarah is. Wanting each person she encounters to feel loved. Special. Valued.
Even on what was her day she thought of others above herself. You can easy see how everyone she meets falls in love with her!
The dance floor was never (not once) empty. Let’s just say these guests knew how to bust some moves y’all!
As we planned their wedding day Wes and Sarah were excited about the pond at the venue and let me have creative freedom.
Even being willing to get on some row boat action in her second wedding gown. (I sure love the back, don’t you!)
The light was perfect and disappearing quickly but I love the captures we were able to get on the water!!
Wes and Sarah, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your trust in capturing your day. You made my work light and oh so enjoyable- and I am so glad to have met you both through this wedding planning journey and look forward to cheering you both on in your endeavors and dreams as your new friend. xoxo Xiomara
