We met at the park and I went into my normal role of photographer explaining to the groom, “listen, we are going to have fun. Nothing stuffy, nothing that you’re not comfortable with- just you and the love of your life getting to show your unique love…” then I eye this thing he had mounted right on his pants….. In my mind I’m thinking sheesh how do I tell him that’s not happening but in polite way. He must have known that I was taken back because he busted up laughing and begins to tell me that he wondered how long it would take me to figure this out. That, friends was just the start of the night. Over and over again Josh messed with me- and I loved it!
Any engagement shoot is just fun. BUT when a groom is game and wants to have fun and just laugh and enjoy it- that is beyond amazing. Not just for me but for his love. Tiffany was put at ease right away simply because Josh was!
They had some ideas for their shoot….. Tiffany is a bit of a creative and is putting on quite the DIY Wedding with the help of some amazing women in her life. She even brought along the first gift Josh ever gave her- a treasure of hers now and the purse made for a cute country prop! For her engagement session she wanted each image to be a reflection of who she and Josh are. Relaxed. Fun. Light hearted. Down to earth and at home by rough waters. Fishing on the Rogue River to be exact. So that’s just what we did. It is my hope that this images are everything you had hoped for Josh and Tiffany. Again, thank you a thousand times for your hospitality while I traveled to southern Oregon. You both bless me!! xoxo Xiomara
