Sam and Vanessa are two young sweethearts who have known each other since childhood. Growing up both in their faith and love in their childhood church it was only fitting that this is where they wanted to vow to love and cherish each other for a lifetime. Committed to pursuing God’s plan and follow in the steps of Christ their wedding was truly Christ honoring. And their day simply beautiful.
Although they had a traditional church wedding Sam and Vanessa wanted to make a First Look a priority. They wished to share a few quiet moments together before the excitement of the day. I have to admit First Look moments are still a top favorite of mine. I love the raw emotion, the giggles and the tears that ensue when a groom sees his bride for the first time on their wedding day. And Sam and Vanessa’s First Look was even more special as Sam was able to see Vanessa glowing in a gown she designed herself!
Following the ceremony and reception we headed out to the streets of Downtown Portland for some wedding photos – this is by far the funnest I’ve ever had doing Bride and Groom Portraits! Hands down my favorite and hope other couples would opt for something fun like this after their reception– and take advantage of the gorgeous evening light!!
